With all the controversy swirling around Mel Gibson’s alleged racist phone message to his baby mama Oksana, Mel decided to have a sit down with his favorite N-word Danny Glover to talk out were he went wrong.

His comments were VERY racist. As a white woman, I’m extremely offended. He would never say those racist remarks in public. All along I thought he was such a great guy. He seemed so cool. Now I read that he hit his girlfriend and spewed racist remarks against blacks, jews, and mexicans??? I read the comments on Yahoo & MSN & Huffington and let me tell you what: White people HATE Black people with a passion. Mel is only saying what you are thinking… Go to said sites and read ANY article that remotely has to do with race and WATCH how much you read the N word over and over and over. Bravo! It’s about time there was at least one person who thinks for theirselves and isn’t so ready to believe everything they hear from the newspapers. If anyone really wants the truth, it’s Mel’s father who is the racist and biggot not Mel! Mel has been at odds with his father ever since he made the Lethal Weapon films with Danny Glover and also with Joe Pesci ( who is an italian jew!) Plus, if anyone really knows anything about some of the more obscure facts of history when Mel portrayed William Wallace in “Braveheart” there were things he did that I believe to be his own personal display of rebellion against his catholic upbringing. First of all there were scenes where he wore the old garb of the Picts often referred to as Woads! He and many of the other warriors also wore the blue woad during battles and often weren’t wearing the usual clansmen garb! This was not only rebellion against the current King of England, but it was anti-catholic and roman in that the garb and paint were worn by the pagans of the British Isles who fought against the occupation of the Holy Roman Empire under the emperor Hadrian!
Add on the fact that he wrote and starred in “What Women Want” with Helen Hunt as a statement against the sexism that has plagued the world not only from catholics, but every where else! Plus, I have “Apocalypto” which I thought was excellent where he actually worked with native American actors. Mel also doesn’t put down other religions, in fact while filming the Patriot he was around the Amish communities and the Amish loved him! He was very respectful of their ways and he even attended a few prayer services with them! I wish Mel and so many like him just would be more careful about the kind of people they hook up with! It’s pretty bad when you have fame and money, but never really experience what real love is like!

I agree – and I’m a black man. We all rant about stuff sometimes. I’ve had racist rants about every one of my friends: jews, mexicans, columbians I call mexicans, whites, swiss-germans, italians…you get the point. I don’t see anyone purely as their stereotype, but I find it funny (and sometimes sad) when people act that way – exhibit 1: jersey shore.
I think much more to the point is Mel’s fascination with the jews…jeesh this guy is seriously bent up about them!

lets be clear… what was said may not have been politically correct, but then again, how many of us are anyway. Its evident his day was going ill as his marriage. I heard it on tv and clearly it sounded of a man whom was hysterical, afraid, frustrated and angry amongst it all. It almost had the air of one of the few individuals or of the last he personally new and trusted betrayed and twisted on him and he lashed out in an effort to find his emotional barrings within this woman. He wanted her reaction, so he aimed to receive it. People have lost complete focus of what he was trying to get across, which had nothing to do with racism whatsoever. He was angry with this lady. The media only revealed those parts of which they wanted to be seen. I can say that on, T.V. what he said sounded like him, from what she said it sounded like it was either dubbed over or she was sadistically calm amongst his paranoid state of hysteria. Which makes me think she is in question. Are you politically correct when you are angry? If so, how about your thoughts? But if you stick to the point, the point is evident, he was not in a normal state of mind. This was a mentally broken individual in a most vulnerable state, trying to get the intensity of that internal conflict out, which had nothing to do with racism. All of these individuals whom are successful and under the constant spotlight, are in affiliations/fraternities with some powerful people and when they do not comply things happen. For instance look at Tiger Woods… Instead of questioning his nature, choices or actions, would you not concentrate the focus of the question that someone of which contains this social status would not have been caught far sooner? OF COURSE HE WOULD HAVE, the reason he did not is because there was someone there covering his trail, but tiger did not come through or denied something expected of him and there are penalties for his actions. All of a sudden no Names came out of the woodwork to stone his reputation. Though I cannot condone what he had done, I do not believe he changed at all. The only thing that has changed is what the media has chosen to put in front of you. The media, the news, etc. is all regulated. A citizen is a sleeping sheep.
So, In this case, this is Mel, under mass amounts of stress flipping out. He more than likely does not have a personal issue with African Americans. Rather the intention of his statement was to provoke his state of anxiety onto his opposing wife, so she could understand his state of pain. Think about it, that issue surfaced and now it is GONE. No one will care tomorrow really if it is not in the media, we are too oblivious to the daily wars and child workshops occuring in the world.
Things are not always what they seem, do not be deceived or so readily eat the falsehoods placed before your face. In order to truly understand the situation of where he stands more information must be acquired. Nor does it prove justice to judge, more less wonder what has caused a man to lose himself in that way first. If Mel gibson was really racist he would not work with such a diverse group of people by his on volition.
