1. I hope you people don’t think this is a real news story, it’s not. It’s completely fake.

2. It’s not even a clever joke since the actually pronunciation is NEE-JER. Also the name has no racial implications at all. It’s probably from the ancient Berber language meaning “waterway.” An 8th grade world geography class would have told you that folks.

Come on people, I always enjoy chance to rail against goofy-ass Al Sharpton but I’m not so desperate for one that I’d believe anything.

Its a shame that Mr. Sharpton (whom I don’t consider a real reverend) doesn’t have enough to worry about in America that he would need to harrass REAL AFricans!!! And I would ask Danny Glover why an African Country would need an African American Day in their country. Maybe they have more important things to worry about then bored celebrities with no insight on real life. I think Al needs to call Jesse for advice on what to do with his free time.

Maybe Al Sharpton should lead a ban against rappers, celebrities and movie companies who use the “N” word instead.
Using it to be ‘cool’ only teaches that slang word to our young.
